Ms. Aki Ho

Aki is a Researcher with the Bayswater Institute, having begun as an intern in summer 2022.

Aki graduated from King’s College London, studying BSc Global Health & Social Medicine with a Neuroscience pathway. She has experience with utilizing quantitative and qualitative research methods, STATA and is currently learning MATLAB. So far, Aki has enjoyed working at the Institute on research projects on the subject of health sciences.

Aki was introduced to health research during her clinical and public health placement at the Directorate of Health Services in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala India. She takes an interdisciplinary approach to public health management and health research by incorporating social sciences with psychology and clinical medicine.

Aki’s interests lie in aging, neurodegenerative diseases, mental health and behavioural public health, and in adapting innovative methodologies in research. During her study abroad at Johns Hopkins University she worked in a research team on clinical studies on Dementia treatment as well as the evaluation of a novel neurotherapeutic for movement disorders.
